Lisa Tyburski began her career as an Account Representative for UNUM Life Insurance Company in Rochester, NY relocating to San Diego in 1987. Lisa has a passion for helping families affected by Alzheimer’s since her mother and her aunt both suffered from the disease. She knows all too well that caring for a person with dementia is physically, emotionally and financially challenging. The demands of day-to-day care, changing family roles and difficult decisions about placement in a care facility can be hard to handle.
Lisa is actively involved in The Walk to End Alzheimer’s and has raised thousands of dollars for the Alzheimer’s Association. Her role is to help families in the community learn about the valuable resources and wonderful care provided at The Glenner Centers. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA in 1986. She and her husband of 28 years have 3 children.
